Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program

The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, formerly known as PACE, is a 12– week program designed specifically for people with arthritis. The combination of physical activity and education will help you better manage your arthritis and maintain the quality of life you deserve.

Gentle activities increase joint flexibility and range of motion and help maintain muscle strength. Appropriate activities can also increase overall stamina. Because there are many different types of arthritis and related conditions, levels of fitness, and degrees of limitation, our trained instructors will teach you about your body and what it can do safely.

The UNC Wellness Center at Meadowmont integrates relevant lectures into the monthly Health Education calendar to help you manage your arthritis.

For schedules and fees for the next available session, please contact the front desk at 966-5500 or e-mail wellness@unch.unc.edu.
