The UNC Occupational / Physical Therapy Department's satellite clinic is located conveniently within the UNC Wellness Center at Meadowmont.

Consistent with the mission of the American Physical Therapy Association, we enthusiastically take our "...role in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of movement dysfunctions and the enhancement of the physical health and functional abilities of members of the public."

Within the PT clinic at the UNC Wellness Center we have six clinicians (physical therapists and physical therapy assistants). Specialties in women's health, golf/wellness, aquatic therapy, orthopedics and manual therapy are represented among our staff. Some of the diagnoses among our patient population have included: joint replacement, back/neck pain, tendinitis, post-op general orthopedic surgery, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), chronic pain, pelvic pain, post-op breast cancer surgery, general debilitation and so on.

Many of our patients continue their independent exercise programs at the wellness center, as members, offering a seamless transition from rehabilitation to preventive maintenance or performance enhancement. Our primary goal is to restore function and educate patients on how to safely get the most out of themselves.
