Health Evaluations, Testing and Assessments

Sports Specific Training | Massage Therapy | Pilates Reformer | Multisport | Personal Training | VO2 Testing

A health evaluation is a 45 minute fitness test offered to members and non-members to give a baseline assessment of current fitness status. The evaluations are performed by our UNC Wellness's nationally accredited personal trainers. The evaluation includes a variety of assessments including: blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, circumference measurements, body fat percentage, upper body strength, flexibility, abdominal strength, estimated VO2 max, and a fasting total cholesterol and blood sugar test. Following the evaluation, the results are printed out and explained to the participant. Trainers will provide suggestions on how to improve test scores in the "needs work" category.

For members, initial evaluations are free and follow-up assessments are $25. There is a $45 charge for non-member initial and follow-up evaluations.

Appropriate exercise clothing must be worn to the evaluation. Fasting for approximately 4 hours is recommended for those desiring more accurate blood work results.
