Cardiac Rehab | Bridge Program | Physical Therapy

The UNC Wellness Center offers several clinical programs including Cardiac Rehabilitation, the Bridge to Wellness program, and Physical Therapy. Our state of the art facility and access to experts on every aspect of healthy living compliment to these exceptional programs.

UNC Hospitals Cardiac Rehab provides a twelve-week outpatient program for individuals recovering from cardiac events or surgery; participants are referred to Cardiac Rehab by their physicians. Exercise is a key component of the program, which also includes stress management, diet assessment, and patient education. UNC Hospitals Cardiac Rehab also offers the Bridge to Wellness program, for individuals who will benefit from medically-supervised exercise but for whom Cardiac Rehab is not indicated. Participants in the Bridge to Wellness program must be referred by their physician. For more information please contact the Cardiac Rehab office at (919) 843-2158.

Physical Therapy offers a wide range of services including sports medicine programs, spine programs, balance evaluation and rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, adaptive equipment, biofeedback training, work capacity testing and conditioning, wheelchair and assistive technology consultation, aquatic therapy, and other special modalities. The Physical Therapy clinic at the UNC Wellness Center at Meadowmont is an extension of UNC Health Care Physical Therapy Services. For more information please contact the Physical Therapy office at (919) 843-2164.
